The journey began with my love for basketball, realizing that as I grew into a man that my career needed to be basketball centered. The College of Staten Island was the place that helped me nurture my skills, but the real journey began in High School. On the team, coaches often celebrated my skills and this helped me realize that basketball was something I excelled at. High School basketball provided an escape from the world; I wanted everyone to experience that liberating feeling.
I began this journey training children, the kids ranged from ages 6-14; coaching began during the pandemic when the need was high for physical fitness and a way for parents to keep their kids both physically and mentally healthy. Gaining training experience, I wanted to expand the skillset to adults providing them the opportunity to build their skills in the game as well. Now, working with both children and adults I realized there was a need. I saw what the game did for all players involved, this was the motivation needed to take the extra mile. RSA grew out of this interest and excitement everyone I trained felt. I was compelled to share this love of the game with anyone who wanted to experience it.
RSA’s first league was launched in the Spring of 2021, that quickly grew into two leagues within a couple months. The foundation was all in place to launch a full fledged RSA program. A program where all were welcomed to play a competitive and organized sport. RSA sports is now approaching its second year, from its humble beginnings with a group of consistent players it has grown nicely into four locations across the Tri-State area.
The Tri-State leagues solidifies the vision and the goal is to now bring runs and leagues to all locations eventually branching out to States outside of the Tri-State area.
RSA offers open runs, basketball training and competitive leagues for both men and women at very affordable prices.
